Farsight's Workshop Area
All Remote Viewers Welcome!
PLEASE NOTE: The CGI scripts upon which this page
depends are currently under revision and unavailable. The functionality
of this page will return soon. Please be patient. The "Target Coordinates"
link (below) still works however.
At The Farsight Institute, we normally analyze all of our remote-viewing
sessions by computer before giving them to a human analyst. In part, this
is done to obtain a significant degree of objective evaluation and analysis
for our remote-viewing data. We use a computer system that is called the
"Session Analysis Machine," or simply "SAM." SAM is
independent of the methods used to collect the remote-viewing data. Thus,
SAM can be used by remote viewers who use any remote-viewing methodology.
Remote viewers trained in all methods are welcome to use SAM to practice
remote viewing, and to obtain objective and evaluated target feedback
for your sessions. Instructors of remote viewing are also encouraged to
have their students use SAM freely as an adjunct to their own learning
and instructional programs. SAM has three levels, and each level has a
higher level of sophistication. We are publishing the first two levels
of SAM now. The third level is completed, and we hope to publish the third
level soon.
I. SESSION ANALYSIS
MACHINE (SAM) - Level 1
This is the introductory level for SAM. It is where you can obtain easy
to understand immediate computer-based feedback for your remote-viewing
sessions when you work with another person who gives you targets to remote
view (a "tasker"). First, have someone pick a target and keep
it secret from you. Then have them use the SAM-Level 1 form to describe
the target using the criteria on the form. Then you do your remote-viewing
session. After you do your session, use this same SAM-Level 1 form to
enter the information from your session. You will then obtain a printout
of your data entries. Then contact your tasker and get a copy of the taskers
SAM-Level 1 printout describing the target together with any other target
information that is available, and compare your results to the specifications
of the tasker. Take a look at some of the Target of the Week (TOW) examples
below to see how targets are properly specified.
II. SESSION ANALYSIS MACHINE
(SAM) - Level 2
SAM-Level 2 is more sophisticated than SAM-Level 1. With SAM-Level 2,
you use targets from our Target of the Week (TOW) series, and SAM-Level
2 does a complete analysis for you, including some statistics that compare
your session with the given target. First, print out a directional
and get your target coordinates. If
your remote viewing method does not use random numbers for target coordinates,
then use whatever you normally use to cue on the target and substitute
that for the target coordinates. Do your session totally blind, of course,
which means without knowing anything at all about the target. After your
session is completed, fill out the entire SAM-Level 2 form, click the
submit button and you will have a complete session analysis and target
disclosure in a few seconds. You have to see it to believe it. SAM-Level
2 is constantly being updated, so expect to see continual enhancements.
III. HOW TO BEGINThe current list of target disclosures can be found below.
Do one session at a time. Save your results so you can get an idea of
how you are doing with a the batch of targets. At the end of your last
session, compare the sessions to see how you are improving overtime. Take
note of what type of targets you do best at, and what type of targets
you still need to work on. Remember, improvement can be best measured
by looking at a collection of sessions, not just one.
After you do each session, get your target disclosure before
entering your remote-viewing data into the SAM-Level 2 form (see above
for the SAM-Level 2 link). After you look at the target disclosure and
review your data for your session, then use the SAM-Level
2 form to receive your SAM analysis for your session.
IV. MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES
Directions: First print out a copy of the directional. Fill it
all out, being sure to get random target coordinates as well (available
below). If your remote viewing method does not use random numbers for
target coordinates, then use whatever you normally use to cue on the target
and substitute that for the target coordinates. Keep this directional
on the left side of your desk while you do your session. You will need
to read your target coordinates from the directional when you are in Phase
1 of SRV®.
Directional (Click this to see
and print the directional for your sessions.)
Target Coordinates If your remote-viewing
method does not use random numbers for target coordinates, then use whatever
you normally use to cue on the target and substitute that for the target
coordinates.
Instructions for choosing appropriate
targets for use with SAM. SAM targets should follow certain parameters.
Here you can find a clear description of those parameters. This information
would normally be used by people choosing targets for our TOW series (see
below). But the information is also of more general use, and viewers may
want to see what goes into picking a good SAM target.
V. TARGET POOL
A "TOW" is a "Target of the Week." We try to
publish a batch of new ones in the beginning of each season. Thus, it
is a good idea to do your viewing before the next season's batch is published
so you can obtain target feedback and put closure on that season's work
before beginning the targets for the next season. The current list of
TOWs can be found below as well as on the SAM-Level
2 form. Here are the current list of TOWs, and below that are four
examples of past TOWs. If you still want to view the current TOWs, look
only at the past examples!
