COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The Farsight Institute does not own the copyright
for the pictures used in the targets that are available in the
Workshop Area of The Farsight Institute's web site. The photographs
are being used here only to conduct scientific experiments involving
the phenomenon known as remote viewing, which is generally allowed
under the "fair use" copyright doctrine. Participants
in these experiments need to conduct remote-viewing sessions
in order to see these photographs. A photograph and other target
descriptions for each remote-viewing session are then displayed
to the remote viewer through his or her web browser in order
to resolve a particular experiment by providing "target
feedback" to the remote viewer. While we try to use photographs
for our remote-viewing targets whenever possible that reside
in the public domain, we cannot guarantee we are successful in
every instance. The pictures are gathered from all sorts of sources,
and it is possible that there may be restrictions on the use
of some of these photographs of which we are not aware. If we
are informed of any restriction that would be applicable to our
use of any photograph which we are using in our experiments,
we will remove it permanently from our target database. Of course,
we are freely sharing these photographs as elements for use with
scientific experiments involving remote viewing conducted by
visitors to our web site. The targets together with their associated
photographs are not being sold by The Farsight Institute.
NOTE THAT WE WANT VISITORS TO OUR WEB
SITE TO PUBLISH THEIR REMOTE VIEWING WORK! Thus, if you wish
to publish some of your own remote viewing work on your own web
site or elsewhere, you are granted a nonexclusive license to
publish the VERBAL target descriptions that are available for
each target that you remote view, so long as the purpose of such
publication is only to explain the target for a published and
explicitly identified session OF YOURS, and that ONLY the verbal
target description of the target for THAT PARTICULAR SESSION
is published. In such a situation, you should cite "The
Farsight Institute" as the copyright owner of the verbal
target description which you are using with permission. If the
photos are also published to support this same effort, then YOU
must assume any risk involved with the publication of such photographs,
if there is any. Again, we usually try to use photographs that
reside in the public domain for the targets available in the
Workshop Area of our web site. But just in case there should
be a problem, you must understand that neither Farsight Inc.,
The Farsight Institute, Farsight Research Inc., nor anyone associated
directly or indirectly with these organizations assumes any responsibility
whatsoever for a failure on your part to obtain whatevery copyrights
that may be required to publish any photograph for any purpose.
