Overview of Scientific Remote Viewing® Courses
Courses 1-4 listed below are taught by independent
instructors who have been certifed by The Farsight Institute to teach
SRV® worldwide. Certified instructors offer their instructional services
to those who desire to learn SRV® with a personal instructor. All
certified instructors have passed a rigorous educational program, and
are required to follow the explicit and current educational guidelines
for each course as set out by The Farsight Institute. All students are
free to work with their instructor of choice for all courses except the
instructor certification course (course #5 below). The instructor certification
course is offered directly by The Farsight Institute. Students who enroll
in the instructor certification course normally have completed (minimally)
the Farsight Voyager and Farsight Seer courses, obtained Farsight Certification
at the Voyager and Seer levels, and have obtained a positive recommendation
to begin instructor training by an already certified independent instructor.
1. Farsight Voyager
This is the complete introduction to Basic
SRV®. This course normally includes between 36 and 40 hours of
classroom time working with an instructor either one-on-one or in a group.
One-on-one (one student with one instructor) is different from group instruction,
but neither is superior to the other. While one-on-one instruction offers
a great deal of personalized attention for the student, group instruction
offers a significant amount of individualized attention together with
an ability for each student to observe what other students are doing in
the class. Group instruction also offers each student opportunities to
interact with others in the class, thereby encouraging learning through
the sharing of multiple experiences. The Farsight Registrar can help connect
you with a certified instructor who meets your schedule and needs. Individual
instructors have the option of offering Farsight Certification at the
Voyager level to students who complete this course. Farsight Certification
at the Voyager level enables the student to proceed with further training
via any other Farsight certified instructor. Ask your instructor about
Farsight certification at the Voyager level. Those
who want help finding a Farsight certified instructor in SRV® should
contact the Director of Educational Coordination. Interested students
should examine the syllabus
for this course.
2. Farsight Seer
This is the follow-up to the Farsight Voyager course. With this
course, students work one-on-one with a chosen instructor.
The course includes approximately 15-20 remote-viewing sessions, some of
which are monitored by the instructor, while others are solo. Instructors
typically monitor such sessions remotely, which means that the student uses
either a telephone head set or a speaker phone during the session in order
to hear the instructions of the monitor. Solo sessions are evaluated by
the instructor (normally by phone, or in some cases email) after the completion
of each session. International students can sometimes use free web-based
phone services. After the successful completion of this course, students
have the option of obtaining Farsight Certification at the Seer level. This
level of certification is requred of students who wish to proceed with further
training, including instructor training.
3. Enhanced SRV®
This mini-course introduces students to the next level in SRV® instruction.
Enhanced SRV® emphasizes sketching, probing, and other techniques that
are not done in Basic SRV®. Also, Enhanced SRV® is structured to
help students begin the process of synthesizing their remote viewing perceptions
to more accurately describe the overall characteristics of the target. This
course typically includes 16 hours of classroom time and is taught over
a period of two days by an independent instructor who is certified to teach
this course.
4. Advanced SRV®
This mini-course is open to all who have successfully completed
the course on Enhanced SRV®. Advanced SRV® involves significant
procedural departures from either Basic SRV® or Enhanced SRV®. With
Advanced SRV® students use preprinted templates for recording each page
of remote-viewing data. In particular, Phase 1 is greatly expanded in both
scope and capability, many sessions end after completing a two-part Phase
3, and the overall session length is significantly longer than with either
Basic SRV® or Enhanced SRV®. Advanced sketching and probing procedures
are introduced that assist students in describing more fully the temporal
and spatial characteristics of the target. This course typically includes
16 hours of classroom time and is taught over a period of two days by an
independent instructor who is certified to teach this course. Individuals
who want to advance their remote viewing capabilities and skills to the
highest level should consider taking this course.
5. Instructor Certification
Instructor certification is for those who want to teach Scientific
Remote Viewing®. This course is taught directly by The Farsight Institute.
Graduates of this course can become independent instructors who are certified
by The Farsight Institute to offer their instructional services to teach
SRV® worldwide. Individuals can work to obtain certification at any
level. Thus, there are instructor certifications for Basic SRV®, Farsight
Seer, Enhanced SRV®, and Advanced SRV®. Those who are certified
to teach advanced courses beyond Basic SRV® must have completed those
courses. Depending on their capabilities, successful graduates of the instructor
certification course are certified by and at the discretion of the Director
of Instruction at The Farsight Institute to instruct at one of three levels:
(1) Lead Instructor capable of heading a class with multiple students, (2)
Primary Instructor capable of teaching one-on-one (that is, one student
at a time), and (3) Instructor Assistant capable of helping with a class
lead by a Lead or Primary Instructor. The Director of Instruction is also
responsible for specifying any restrictions that may or may not apply to
each certification achievement. Such restrictions are normally temporary,
and are used to allow individuals to advance when they have excelled in
some areas of a certification level but still require additional assistance
in remaining areas.
