The Farsight Voyager Syllabus

The following course satisfies Farsight Certification Requirements for the Farsight Voyager Level for SRV®. This is the general syllabus for the Farsight Voyager course in SRV®. Individual instructors may vary this syllabus to some extent, and students should request the exact syllabus for their course from their own instructor. The course may be structured to take place in as few as five days if work in the evening is included. The total class time is normally between 36 and 40 hours.

DAY 1:

Morning
Item 1 - Overview of SRV, including its early historical connection to CRV. Other forms of SRV are discussed, such as Enhanced SRV and Advanced SRV. Basic SRV, Enhanced SRV, and Advanced SRV are designed to build skills in stages. All skills learned in Basic SRV are used in Enhanced SRV, and all skills learned in Basic and Enhanced SRV are used in Advanced SRV.
Item 2 - Discussion of how RV communication works by passing intuitive perceptual information from the human subspace aspect to the conscious mind while inhibiting conscious-mind processing of this information. Discussion of the distinction between low-level data and high-level data, and that RV works well only with low-level data. Even among low-level data, there are degrees of "lowness," and Phase 1 moves from the lowest level of low-level data to relatively higher-level (but still low-level) data. "Lowness" and "highness" represent levels of intellectual abstraction, with a label (like the word "car") being the highest level of abstration. Ideograms are essentially subspace words or reflections and are the lowest possible levels of abstraction. Discussion of the use of target coordinates and ideograms.
Item 3 - Explanation and demonstration of the Consciousness Settling Procedure (CSP) as well as description of the use of the SRV Affirmation. Explanation of how the SRV Affirmation helps get the conscious mind ready for the subspace communication, and how its use is similar to discussions of RV that immediately preceded sessions done in the laboratory at SRI International (for example, see Mind Trek, by Joseph McMoneagle, 1993, pp. 45-6).
Item 4 - Description of the header for page 1, plus the basic structure of Phase 1
Item 5 - Ideogram drills, and discussion of how to probe an ideogram.
Item 6 - Monitored session (going only through Phase 1, repeated three times) followed by debriefing.

Afternoon
Item 1 - Review of Phase 1 procedures and some further explanation regarding low- and high-level data. Discussion of deductions. Introduction of the idea of including sketches of flashed mental images in Phase 1 in the optional "D" area. (Such sketches are totally optional for Phase 1, and students are warned to avoid high-level sketches that clearly identify and label things.) Question period relating to review.
Item 2 - Discussion of Phase 2
Item 3 - Monitored session (Phase 1 repeated three times, plus Phase 2) and debriefing
Item 4 - A second monitored session followed by debriefing
Item 5 - Question period

DAY 2:

Morning
Item 1 - Review of Phase 1 and Phase 2 procedures and a further discussion regarding the need to build all target descriptions on accumulations of low-level data. More examples of low- and high-level data are offered.
Item 2 - Discussion of Phase 3. Explanation that Phase 3 both builds from Phases 1 and 2 as well as adds its own element.
Item 3 - Monitored session (through Phase 3) and debriefing
Item 4 - Review of procedures and question period.
Item 5 - If there is time, a second monitored session may be done.

Afternoon
Item 1 - Introduction of the Phase 4 matrix and discussion. Emphasis on probing the matrix, and review of the difference between high- and low-level data.
Item 2 - Monitored session (through Phase 4) and debriefing
Item 3 - Discussion of P4 1/2 entries plus P4 1/2S sketches.
Item 4 - If there is time, a seconded monitored session may be done.

DAY 3:

Morning
Item 1 - Review of Phase 1-4 procedures, emphasizing Phase 4 material.
Item 2 - Introduction of the "Big Three" and "Working the Target" in Phase 4
Item 3 - Monitored session and debriefing. During the session, the students are guided in Phase 4 with regard to executing the "Big Three" and "Working the Target"
Item 4 - Question period.

Afternoon
Item 1 - Introduction to cuing using () and [] as well as movement exercises, levels 1-3.
Item 2 - Monitored session with debriefing. Use a level-one movement exercise.
Item 3 -Question period.

DAY 4:

Morning
Item 1 - Review of cuing and movement exercises.
Item 2 - Monitored session with debriefing. Session uses a level-one, level-two, and level-three movement exercise.
Item 3 - Question period.

Afternoon
Item 1 - Monitored session with debriefing. Session uses a level-one, level-two, and multiple level-three movement exercises. Inclusion of a deep-mind probe.
Item 2 - Question period.

DAY 5:

Morning
Item 1 - Monitored session with debriefing. Session uses a level-one, level-two, and multiple level-three movement exercises. Inclusion of a deep-mind probe.
Item 2 - Question period.

Afternoon
Item 1 - Monitored session with debriefing. Session uses a level-one, level-two, and multiple level-three movement exercises. Inclusion of a deep-mind probe.
Item 2 - Discussion of The Farsight Institute's web resources, including the Monitor's Template, printable text, and free audio course (useful for review).

DAY 6:

Morning
Item 1 - Discussion of monitoring. In classes with more than one student, the students are paired for each to do a session, switching roles as viewer and/or monitor. The group meets after the first session to discuss the first set of results and to assign the new target for the second session. If the class is one-on-one, the student monitors the instructor in a session using a target picked at random (by an experienced viewer or another instructor) from SAM.
Item 2 - After all sessions are completed and reviewed, there is a question period.

Afternoon
Item 1 - Monitored session (monitored by instructor) with debriefing
Item 2 - Discussion of Seer course
Item 3 - Discussion of how to conduct remotely monitored sessions using speakerphones and/or web-based phones (especially valuable for international students)
Item 4 - Review of The Farsight Institute web resources

DAY 7 (Optional):

Morning
Voyager certification solo session with de-briefing

Afternoon
Voyager certification monitored session with de-briefing

At the end of the course, all students should normally receive their sessions for the course collected in some sort of folder or binder.
