Remote Viewing and Politics For better or worse, humans allow and even encourage their political leaders to control much of their lives, including much of what they know, can know, or even believe. Political leaders use this delegated authority to manage the lives of those in their care. Remote viewing adds an entirely new element to the politics of our planet. It allows us to consider the possibility of abandoning secrecy as a way of life. Our governments rely on secrecy for virtually all of their operations. Among many examples in the United States, presidential meetings, congressional negotiations, political lobbying efforts, Federal Reserve Board discussions, bureaucratic regulatory negotiations, and post-testimony Supreme Court deliberations are typically hidden from public view. The situation is similar or more severe in other nations. Crucial decisions are made each day that influence the lives of billions, and nearly all of the those who are most affected by these decisions are kept distant from the essential elements of the decision-making processes. The private economic sector is little different. Technological development, marketing strategies, stock trading, among countless examples, are all based on the principle of secrecy. While the science of remote viewing is still in its infancy, the trend in the development of this field is now clear. The future of remote viewing offers the potential for humans to end all secrets. It will always be possible for individuals to choose voluntarily to not know something. But it is now possible to imagine a world in which anyone can obtain information on anything, regardless of how well the information is hidden from public view. Our governments need to address this new issue of the end of secrecy. This offers the most crucial new element in human governance since the conception of democracy. This is the moment in the history of our species in which together we will all either move toward a proud future newly defined, or continue on an ill-fated road in which we think not of liberating our souls but of controlling the lives of our friends by limiting that which they know. To chart a new course for ourselves will require courage. But this is the destiny for which we should strive, to live the lives of courageous souls. |
