Technical Requirements for The Cosmic Hour:
- Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating system (Intel-based Apple machines will work ONLY if they are running Windows XP operating system. The Mac OS will not work. Linux machines will not yet work.)
- Internet Explorer as the browser (other browsers will not work)
- A web cam (These can be purchased for as little as $20. All web cams will work. But users of Creative Webcam Live! Pro should use the absolute latest driver - dated at least 28 September 2005 - that is available from the Creative web site.)
- Microphone (Some web cams have a microphone built in.)
- Speakers (or ear buds, head phones, etc.)
- Please set your computer to 32 bit color. To do this, go to Control Panel > Display > Settings > Color Quality: Highest 32 bit. Some video chat windows will not open properly if you are using 16 bit color. 32 bit color is the default for most Windows XP computers.
